Mountains
The Smoky Mountains
The Smoky mountains are old, ancient. What was found there was prehistoric sea fossils, what was left there was someone else. The man who went there died there, and I came back anew, refreshed yet sorrowful still.
The Rocky Mountains
Jagged, steep, endless peaks, cradling all who venture. Their cold, biting winds, eating those who do not dress appropriately. The beautiful, bountiful, wild nature there, enough to ignite Transcendentalist ideas. The vast ranges of snow-capped peaks and low, flat valleys bring forth mass wonder and excitement. Dreams keep interest in the arteries of the valleys and mountains.
Relationships
Short hikes, long distances; Steep peaks; breathless skies; The longest valleys leading to the highest of highs.
School
Wasting away, climbing the academic walls; one success, one failure. One peak leads to another peak, the third peak, optional, tests one’s potential as well as one’s wallet.
Oneself
The greatest challenge, the snowiest, the foggiest most unseen peak. Many find the peak, most are taken astray, finding false peaks. Many, on their way to the top, take many years to accomplish. Some take less time than others. My journey is faced with unknowns, challenges and tribulations. Despite these, the journey is worth every, crippling step. With love and belief at my side, no peak, no amount of natural force can withstand my will. I have those I love, I have lost those who let go, I will be, who I am; the one who climbs his mountains. My valleys shall be conquered, my hills lowered, my mountains moved and triumphed over. My life is a conquest, I shall have control and find love, within snowcapped mountains both physical and metaphorical.
Grief
Loss. Sorrow. The most human feeling, of all feeling. The emptiness, allows the sinkhole in one’s heart to collapse with bloodied tears. Bleeding souls, the reminder of the living to keep climbing. Grief is the lowest valley, on the continent of humanity.
