Red and Blue

Red and Blue

Lavender and African Daises bloom
In the garden for all to see.
Bees buzzing through the skies,
The sweet smell of nectar flowing
Through the breeze for them to collect.
Swallowtails and monarchs of all colors
Landing on a toddler's nose.
Young children playing outside
Till the day is done,
Picking flowers of
Dandelions and Iris for their
Mothers and fathers
To adore for weeks on end.
Tulips and roses and magnolias of
All colors bloom in the early
Days of spring.
Blue jays singing in the trees
For all to hear,
Lilies and daffodils as bright as the sun
Grown in gardens for all to see.
