  • Something I Can See by Kaylen Gallenstein

April 23, 2026

Looking through the mess of inked stained papers scattering my desk

I wish to lie in the grass while the hummingbirds sing.

Dance in between the tall oak trees while the rain trickles down.

Feeling each drop gently caress my soft skin.

The dirt ridden ground holds the print of my shoes.

That natures wildlife has kindly let me share.

My legs burning as I climb to that rocky peak.

Where I see the rolling rivers snug between a deep green valley.

Ill reach those valleys.

When they are more than words to paper but something I can see.
